About Me

By day, I run operations for the Startmate accelerator. By night, I’m writing a book on making sense of living, reading a classic, learning jazz piano, or hunting down the most authentic Malaysian food in Sydney.

“The piano ain’t got no wrong notes.” - Thelonius Monk

What do you do at Blackbird?

I keep the Startmate accelerator gears well-oiled and running.

What did you do before Blackbird?

A year of startup accounting at Interactive Accounting and (almost) a year of keeping gears running at Stone & Chalk Melbourne. Curated the Australian startup ecosystem @ as a passion project. I once co-founded a T-shirt brand with 4 friends, stocked up on a few hundred units and the only shirts that left our storage were influencer bribes.

What do you believe that others do not?

The best way to learn is to write or tell. There is no such thing as talent. Jazz is a superior art form.

What companies have you invested in?

I am a proud investor of $100 in a Startmate alumnus crowdfund.

What ideas are you excited by right now?

Rethinking education (no grades?), rethinking cities (private?) and rethinking money (doge?). Whole products built with no code.
