From helping with first hires through our hiring platform, the Lilypad, to helping founders with 1:1 advice, or surrounding them with a community of founders with our five-week onboarding program, the Founder Academy, community is the beating heart of Blackbird.
Beyond all else, we exist to give you courage. If we back you, we believe in you, and we believe you can reach your wildest ambition. This starts from day one and continues on day ten thousand; we invested in Mel, Cliff and Cam at Canva back when their vision for democratised design was just an idea, and have invested in every round since.
We believe that giant leaps forward are made by a passionate few, so we invest in founders, not sectors or stages. Our companies are united only by their ambition to tackle the world’s greatest problems, led by founders who are doing their life’s work.
Blackbird is a startup and will always be run as a startup. Our style, our office, our events and our communications relate to the founders we back.
