Mel was dedicated to democratising design long before it became Canva's mission. Prior to founding Canva, Mel taught design at university and founded a design business that allowed high school students, teachers and parents to collaborate to create high school yearbooks.
A seasoned engineer and technical leader, Cibby met his co-founder at Finisar designing and building lasers for the telecommunications industry. They saw Lidar’s potential and decided to create a new type of Lidar with no moving parts based upon the lessons they learnt.
With a background in management consulting and startup operations, she previously served as chief of staff at a Series A AI startup. Annie founded Build Club based on her belief in a world where AI is safe, accessible, and empowering for everyone.
Craig grew up on a dairy farm in the Waikato district of NZ, seeing his parents work 100 hour weeks. After a mechanical engineering degree and stint at Rocket Lab, he founded Halter to unlock a new, more sustainable farm of the future.
