Aquila

Aquila is an Australasian renewable energy startup whose mission is to build and operate an infinitely scalable energy network which will take the form of space-based optical relay systems. This “internet of energy” will transmit power via light-beams, to be received by solar technology at demand points worldwide. Aquila’s $3M AUD seed round was led by Blackbird Ventures alongside Possible Ventures, Icehouse Ventures and Startmate.
