About this Project

He ika, he taonga (the fish, the treasure) will be an exhibition exploring the changing species layout of the Waitemata harbour, combining interactive crochet pieces with auditory interviews from fishermen who have watched species decline and fluctuate over the year. I will also encourage viewers to sign a petition with LegaSea to help replenish fishstocks, and restore the Mauri (life force) of this beautiful harbour.
