WAYMO Workshops

I am developing the WAYMO Workshops, a template for interactive poetry readings and workshops to be given at primary schools in Auckland and wider New Zealand. For example, the first workshop will be part of an invited author visit for a schools 'Book Week'. It will involve poetry readings from my recently self-published children's poetry book What Are You Made Of? Taku Tinana, Taku Oranga followed by an author Q&A, then an interactive discussion on poetry and a group poetry writing activity that can be displayed on the library wall. Students will have the option to write their own poem at home and send it to me for a chance to win a book voucher or toy stethoscope set.
